PHOTOBLOG: INDIA

Monday, November 30, 2015

Last February 2015, I, along with my teammates, went to Gujarat, India to participate in the GNLU International Moot Court Competition. It was a long flight from Philippines to India but it was all worth it. I enjoyed my stay in Gujarat National Law University and was glad to meet new friends from across the globe.

Here are some photos of our team during the competition.

I was surprised to see my solo picture. I looked serious. I had fun though.

We were the only Philippine team during the competition. Animo San Beda!

FOOD EXPERIENCE

Food was amazing. Although Gujarat is a vegetarian city, we were able to satisfy our meat cravings. We ordered pizza and pasta and we could also buy non-vegetarian meals at midnight in the university cafeteria. I like spicy food so my palate was definitely in for a treat.

Yes. We went crazy over pizza and pasta. (Photo by Kria Celestine Manglapus)

EXPLORING GUJARAT

The competition lasted for four days. Our team advanced up to the semi-final round which means we had little time to explore Gujarat. Nevertheless, we didn't miss the opportunity to go out whenever we can. Fortunately, there are rickshaws conveniently present in front of the university.

Rickshaw is the "tricycle" of India.

Abhik, one of the students who organized the competition, served as our tour guide in Gandhinagar. If he decides to visit Philippines, we'd surely love to give him a tour around Manila as well.

Before our flight home, we were able to attend dinner with all the teams. It was a night to remember and I was happy to show off my "dance moves".
